The Story behind our Miracle Baby
Sidnee Faith Knight
We pray that someone's heart would be touched by our testimony of what God has done and is able to do for anyone who will seek him diligently. (Hebrews 11:6 - But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.) We also would like to thank Young Harmony for giving us the opportunity to print our testimony and spread the Gospel all over the world.
At 24 weeks of pregnancy, we were so excited to discover what the sex of our baby was going to be. They informed us we were going to have a baby girl, with a lot of complications. She would have the cleft lip and palate, along with her brain not being formed the way it should have been during that trimester of pregnancy. We were told that we would not even carry her full term and she would die long before birth. Due to all of the severe problems, doctors wanted us to abort her. When given the option of abortion, my husband told the doctors, this is not an option. He believed in someone mightier than any prognosis that had been given and we would bring her back to the office one day, to show that God had moved for whom they anticipated would die. They wanted to do further testing, but we chose to put our trust in God and the prayer chains were started from that day on. After the prognosis was given, I was lying in bed weeping for God to give me a peace about this situation. One of the best feelings I have ever experienced was a warm-like feeling started at the top of my head and came down over my body. I immediately started to thank the Lord because he had given me such a peace. During the pregnancy, our entire family was striving to have faith, to believe and trust the Lord that everything would be ok. . (Isaiah 53:5 - But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.) On the morning of July 24, 2006, my labor began. On the way to the hospital I called several friends and family members to be praying. The doctor came in around 9:30am to examine me, and again tried to discourage me. I remained calm and had such a peace about the delivery of our baby. At 3:43pm Sidnee was born. She weighed 5 pds and 2 ½ oz. The doctors informed us that they would do everything they could possibly do for her. After seeing Sidnee, we were all in a confused state of mind. We couldn't understand why she wasn't normal after we had faith that she would be ok.
(Isaiah 55:8 - For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.) The doctors said she would only live a few hours after birth…after 24 hours… then 2-5 days. The doctors said there was nothing they could do for her. She started to have seizures shortly after birth and was put on medication to keep her comfortable and sedated until she passed on. She was unable to eat, for they informed us the formula would go straight to her lungs and she would drown in her own fluid. Also she was blind, deaf and would be a vegetable. Within hours, the hospital room was full for the next several days.
On the second day, everyone was weeping and praying their hearts out to God. The presence of the Lord was so great. (Matthew 18:19,20 - Again I say unto you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in Heaven. - For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I in the midst of them.) That evening, my husband decided to dedicate her back to the Lord. After the pastor read several scriptures, the fan/air system that had ran continuously for days, shut down while everyone was praying and once the spirit lifted the fan turned back on and sounding like a jet taking off!
My husband had asked one of the nurses if we could turn it off because of it being loud, but she said it never turns off.
On the third day, we were offered to go home and take a break, come back later and they would provide us with a room to stay until she passed. We chose to stay with her instead. On the fourth day, Phillip woke up that morning and told me that he had prayed through the night. He had told God is he would spare his baby girl's life, he would bring her home - for there she had a room decorated and ready for her to see. When the doctors and nurses came in to ask us what we had decided to do, they look astonished when we said "we are taking her home today." That had not been an option given to us.
We arrived home that afternoon. There were family and friends at our house 24 hours a day. We were truly blessed to have so many caring/praying friends and family members. Several hundred visitors passed through our house to see this little miracle and offer their emotional support. During this time we practically had church right there at our house everyday. Along with all the praying and music being played, we didn't know what the hand of God was doing. According to doctors, she would be departing this life at any moment.
On the seventh day, we were so excited to take our baby girl to church for the first time. There again, you could feel the presence of the Lord so strong. That evening, God plainly spoke to me and said "she is living and not dying"- to take her off the medication that she was on to keep her sedated. On the ninth day, she started to make crying sounds and seemed as if she was trying to suck on her hand as if she seemed hungry. The hospice nurse had been coming several times a week to check vitals. At each visit, the nurse would be amazed, the vitals stayed the same and at times would be even better. During this time she continued to have bowel movements and urinate, although she still wasn't getting any nutrition. On the tenth day, I informed the hospital where she was born, that she was still alive and we were seeking another opinion.
On the eleventh day, I finally got to speak with a doctor from another hospital. He told me to bring her right away for an examination. While he was examining her, he said she can hear, see and eat with a special bottle and is obviously not a vegetable - Praise the Lord!!! She had lost down to 3 pds and was severely dehydrated. We brought her back home to see how she would do with the bottle. Unfortunately she wasn't able to eat enough to rehydrate her. After the weekend, we took her back to the doctor and he recommended admitting her for a few days to get as much calorie intake in her as possible. We also learned at this time that her skull joints were already fused and her brain would not be able to grow. The doctors recommended surgery but also we were informed she would not be able to withstand this type of extensive surgery, due to the amount of blood loss. After a few days, we brought her home and the home-health nurse came twice a week to check vitals, weight gain and head growth.
Due to the 11 day setback she had in the beginning, at age 2 months she still wasn't gaining the necessary weight. The nurse came on Monday and had recommended a feeding tube to be placed at home but instead my husband chose to have a prayer meeting at our house. He said "were going to pray until God moves, even if it takes all night." (Matthew 17:20, 21 - If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall be remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.
-Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.) About 25 people came to join us in prayer, along with other churches that couldn't make it. The next morning, she started to drink 3 ounces at a time. The nurse returned 4 days later and she had gained 8 ounces and her head had finally grown 1 centimeter. From then on, she has been gaining weight and her head has continued to grow.
In November 2006, I took Sidnee to see a neurologists for her seizures. Seizures ranged from 50-100 a day since birth. At the end of the appointment we were all in tears. Due to her head growth, there sure assumption was fluid on the brain, and that her raspy breathing was formula in her lungs. They also thought her pituitary gland was not functioning properly. So they wanted to admit her right away and do testing. After x-rays and tests, Doctor Jesus had moved once again. (Ephesians 3:20 - Now unto him that is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.) There was no fluid on her brain, no formula in her lungs and the pituitary gland was perfect. We were told there was no brain, only tissue but praise God her brain is growing, and parts of the brain looked normal and unremarkable in appearance! (John 11:4 - This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby.)
In September 2007, she was scheduled to have her first surgery on the cleft lip. We had been praying since birth, for God to make her complete and normal and direct our paths in every decision we made. We thank God for doctors but we realized that this situation was completely out of their hands. The Lord began to reveal himself more openly to us prior to her surgery and since then. In July 2007, a 86 yr old man, whom has a divine gift of healing, came to us knowing nothing at all about our daughter and said God spoke to him and this child was going to be made complete and normal. There's much more to the story and it seems as though the Lord reminds often that he is going to perform the work. So we prayed and sought the Lord's direction and cancelled the surgery. (Hebrews 13:8 - Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today and for ever.)
We would like to thank the Lord for his many blessings he has given us. He has blessed us financially, spiritually, emotionally and proved himself more than once. Through all of this, he has increased our faith and we have grown much closer to him. We now realize God had a plan and purpose for everything that has taken place. We just can't thank him enough, for he has brought us through many valleys and many mountains but has answered many of our prayers. We give him ALL the praise and glory! We are looking forward to the manifestation of the healing power of God. Please continue your prayers for Sidnee and remember regardless of what the circumstances may be, stand on the word of God.
May God Bless You-
Sarah, Phillip and Sidnee Knight - Elkton, Va

Miracles Do Happen...
Greetings my Brother & Sister! Just received your latest newsletter and appreciate the update. I shall mark our calendar and hopefully be able to attend a few of your revivals that are planned for our area.
My testimony pales in comparison to yours, Johnathan. Your dad had told me some time ago about how the Lord brought you back from a certain death.
Christmas Eve 1981. Was preparing to visit my parents who lived 135 miles away. First a discomfort in my chest. So I sit in the recliner waiting for the pain to subside. It only magnified. Here we are only minutes away from jumping in the car and this is happening! I'm two weeks shy of my 43rd birthday and cannot or will not accept that I am having a massive heart attack. After about 10 minutes I told my wife that I would feel better lying on the bed. Yeah, right! About 20 minutes into the excruciating pain, I headed for the bathroom. Boy, did I throw up! I was enveloped in perspiration by this time. And then I emptied my bowels. I knew by this time that I was dying and finally conceded to have my wife call
the Paramedics. They arrived five minutes later and while taking my vitals they gave me a nitroglycerin tablet. In a few minutes the ambulance was taking me to the nearest hospital which was five miles from my house. Being that this was the last day to shop for Christmas presents, the route that they took was jammed with traffic. What should have been a 10 minute drive took almost 20.
To make a long story short, I pulled thru the ordeal. Was given an angiogram that showed the bottom one fourth of my heart had suffered irreversible damage. It was dead meat!
Two years and two months later I was back in the hospital. Another angiogram showed that my arteries had taken over much of the job that my blocked artery used to perform. I was told that I had 100% blockage, 80% blockage, and 50% blockage in my arteries, and chances of surviving surgery was only 50%. Whoa, I did like those odds, so I continued to treat my condition with medication and exercise. Naturally my diet changed from the good old fried meals and it took me two years to drop 20 pounds.
Fast forward to 1995. Was awaken in the nite around 2:00 a.m. Symptoms were exactly like the first heart attack. This time an aneurism was found and I was told that if I didn't limit myself to picking up anything that weighed less than 25 lbs, I was at risk of my artery "exploding."
During a routine exam at the VA hospital, it was discovered that my aneurism had disappeared! Praise the Lord for his mercy!
Two months later I "met" Phyllis on Classmates.com and the rest is history. Because after almost 43 years, we had connected once again. High school Sweethearts were reunited! And that is a very long story!
Thank you for doing the Lord's work and bringing so many lost souls into his fold. We pray for you constantly.
Love,
Larry

In February my husband was critically injured in a brush fire. More than 50 acres burned around him but when they found him it appeared that the fire had burned up to him and went out. He only had serious burns on one leg but from breathing in the smoke and heat his throat and lungs were burned. My oldest Son said it looked like God has sent His angels to cover Dad and keep him from burning up. He went into kidney failure. No one could explain it but they all agreed that it was a miracle that he even survived after lying out in the field for more than 6 hours before he was found. He was airlifted to the hospital where they had intended to stabilize him then send him to a burn unit. He became too critical to transfer. It was touch and go for quite awhile but God answered my prayers and my husband survived. We are thanking God everyday for our miracle. During this time I heard the son! g "God Has Not Forgotten You". Every time I heard it I felt the presence of the Lord and I knew that it was going to be al right. My friends at WBCE Christian Radio in Wickliffe, KY played that song for me every time I would call them and give them an update on my husbands condition. No matter what your going thru it is such a blessing to be reminded that God hasn't forgotten you and that He is right there with you. I needed to hear that. Thank You for being God's messenger to me during my time of trial. God Bless You as you continue to work for him.
